This is my cubicle. Dual monitors and a good chair makes it way better to work.
My cubicle only a few days later. Completely over run with check scanners.
These are check scanners, used for turning checks into images so they can be stored electronically. My job was to test that all of these still work and function properly with our software.
This is me forgetting to extend the bar for the checks to come out and jamming the machine up. Immediately after taking this picture I managed to repeat that mistake.
This is the Magtek Excella scanner. This one is the most trouble some of the bunch and the focus of my project which was to create an installation and troubleshooting guide for it.
This is Ip admin on the left and Ip capture on the right. Ip capture is our software used to scan checks and take the info such as the check amount and the MICR line which states the bank and branch id through a magnetic ink reader in the scanner. Ip admin is used to change settings for capture.
Here I was using a program to make fake checks for testing by putting in ids, check amounts, memos, signatures and more.
This is receipt manager, another one of our products. We use this to read receipts and put signatures on them. The green window is a receipt parser simulator called CU Master that makes fake receipts and sends them to receipt manager. A parser is a program or file that reads through text files and extracts certain information out of them automatically.
This a sigpad I set up and used to sign and print a receipt I made.
This is a program called Wireshark I used for testing how to find the Ip address of a device without knowing it, which is included in my project.
This is a program called SQL. We use it to store information about the bank member in databases we create with it. Here I was testing a bug for Ip admin which happened while updating between certain versions of SQL scripts we wrote.
This is the team in what we call a SCRUM meeting where we talk about what we did yesterday, today, and what we are having problems with.
